FAQ

How do I obtain a quote?

Please email us at - info@cheshirespraypainting.co.uk

Send through some images of the items or rooms you would like to see sprayed. Please include close-ups so we can see the current condition of the items, showing any repair work that needs to be completed. If we feel this is enough information we will get back to you with a quote asap. If we feel a site visit is need we will then arrange this at your convenience.

What are your prices?

We are unable to provide quotes before seeing images of kitchens and furniture due to prices being based on current coating condition and style. We will only begin a project once a price is agreed in writing by both parties.

Which areas do you cover for on-site work?

We are a very small family company and are not currently taking on any onsite projects.

What paint do you use?

We use a water based spray-specific lacquer coating that is extremely durable and environmentally friendly. We can spray with internal and external lacquer including clear and colour coatings.

We usually spray with a 30% satin finish, but are able to apply different sheens up to and including high gloss. You can choose a 10, 20 or 50% sheen on any surface. We are only able to spray flat panels in polished high gloss.

What colour can I have?

You can have almost any colour sprayed onto any item. We tend to recommend looking at the Farrow and Ball website for inspiration as they have a wide variety of popular colours. All Farrow and Ball colours are on our paint system.

We are able to colour match to an existing colour. If there is no RAL number or paint name available there will be an extra charge for this service. If you choose a colour that isn’t currently on the system and require an exact match we need to send a sample to Germany. You will need to provide us with this sample.

Can you collect and deliver my items?

We are no longer able to collect and deliver fitted kitchen and bedroom doors and drawer fronts. All items will need to be dropped off and picked up by yourselves, or an external company.

How long do you keep my items?

Depending on the size of the job we usually keep items for around 1 week. This enables all items to be fully cleaned, prepped, primed and sprayed before allowing adequate time to cure.

For fitted kitchen and bedrooms the process can take a bit longer - 1 to 2 weeks depending on the size.

Do you fit handles?

We fit handles as part of the job, if you supply us with new handles we can fill the existing holes and drill new ones.

Do you supply handles, worktops or carry out joinery work?

No we let customers arrange these. We can however sometimes recommend trusted tradesmen for other services.

Can you spray uPVC?

Due to unreliable British weather we no longer offer on-site external spray services. However we are able to spray external windows and doors, including uPVC finishes in our workshop. The items must be delivered and collected from Macclesfield.

Information for joiners

We currently work with several joiners around the Cheshire/ Staffordshire and Manchester area. Please feel free to contact us regarding small or large projects.

Items must be supplied fully prepped with all filler work completed. Windows must be numbered and stamped by yourselves and have all beading pre-cut.
